Update PayPal Code

I recently ran the checkout wizard under the the new eCart 5.0.3 update with the purpose of only generating the update to PayPal. I uploaded all the applicable updates in my eCart directory to my server with the exception of the checkout and confirm pages.

Is it possible to obtain just the updated PayPal Standard and Payments Pro checkout code generated by the Checkout Wizard to be compatible with recent changes made at PayPal without having to go through the process of error checking and modifying my pages all over again?

I have attached a copy of my checkout and confirm pages for your review.

Your confirm page does not use PayPal, it uses Authorize.net.

On your checkout page, double click the Authorize Checkout with Paypal Express Check server behavior to have the express checkout code regenerated.

also open the pp_confirm page and double the Get Payer Profile For PayPal express checkout and the Process Transaction with paypal express checkout behaviors to regenerate the code for those too.

Jason, thank you for your reply. I followed your directions and updated my checkout page. I even reinserted the PayPal button back and needed code onto the checkout page. When testing my cart, everything seems to be working great!

You mentioned that my confirm page does not use PayPal. Did you mean my checkout page? Do I need to do anything with my confirm page?

As you may know, when the PayPal button is clicked on in the checkout page, the checkout page redirects to PayPal and seems to bypass the confirm page. I assume this is normal?

your confirm page uses Authorize.net, not paypal.

you checkout page uses the PayPal Express checkout payment method. Yes, it is normal for this page to bypass the confirm page and post to paypal, paypal will return you to the pp_confirm page to finish the transaction.

Jason, thank you for your reply.

My checkout page does include PayPal now (see attachment). However, on a similar matter, when a shopper is redirected to PayPal to process their transaction, will the shopper see the new payment page PayPal is now using or the the older version?

When I tested a transaction, I noticed that PayPal directed me to a payment page that appeared to be a previous or older version. The payment page did not show any description of the shopper's order, such as item description, price, quantity, etc. The page only showed a section allowing the shopper to log in and enter their credit card information. Is this considered to be normal, since you indicated in your last reply that PayPal will return the shopper to the pp_confirm page to finalize the transaction?

Interestingly, when I ran another test, I noticed that PayPal directed me to their most recent and revised payment page (which I am sure you have seen at some point). This payment page included the item description, quantity, price, discounts applied, etc. This version of PayPal's payment page is more professional and refreshing in appearance.

When I saw this, I was a bit confused as to what my shoppers will actually experience. What is your perspective or recommendations?

I have included my most recent copy of my checkout page and pp_confirm confirm page for your convenience.

here is an updated WA_eCart/PP_ECO_Scripts/PP_ECO_PHP.php file that should force the newer style of landing page.
