Allowing web visitors to rate items in the searc results

Can you tell me how to use DataAssist (or another WebAssist product) to allow website visitors to rate an item on the search results page, and have the ratings for that item to display in the search results?
An example of this is on the Adobe Dreamweaver Exchange website, where visitors can rate products and the ratings are displayed with each record in the search results, in the form of stars. See:

I have implemented a star rating system on this site: tshirt-town.com that is based on the code available here and here. Please note that this is premium content and costs a minimal amount to purchase.

There are also various jQuery plugins that you could try and integrate but I found the premium content above the easiest for me to work with and well worth the small investment.

Thank you Dave, I will try this. Can you tell me if a rating system can be implemented on a results page displaying a number of search results, or does implementing a rating system require that I have an item detail page where a website visitor can rate an individual item?

I have only used it on a details page, but I see no reason why you couldn't put it in a repeat region
