More Session Variable issues

More Session Variable issues

I built a simple form to set a session variable, and then post to the following page that relies on that session variable. I couldnt get it to work. Finally I tried posting to itself, in other words leaving the action of the form blank, and trying to set the variable that way. That works fine, but if I try to post the form to another page it wont set the variable.

I put the text of the session variable on the page so I can see itf it gets set or not. As I said... it works fine when posted to itself.

Needless to say I have been working on only this all day. I also moved the code to all different parts of the page.

I seem to always have these kinds of problems. Please... what am I missing?

Thanks.

You are probably missing that you would need to set the session variables on the page specified as the action of the form. If it works with no action, copy and paste the code on top of the form page to the top of the form action page and that would work once you update the action.

Yep. That worked. I rejected that idea since that same landing page is used as a landing page for a login form, and it works fine, and I dont see any code for that on the page... but anyway... yes... it now works... and I will bookmark this answer. THANKS!
