icon cut off

Probably simple, but can’t fix it.

Running the dataassist wizard, I get a results page with several link icons on the right hand side.
Depending on the number of fields in my dataassist created table, the icons are often cropped or missing.
I have tried playing with various CSS settings but cannot get it to display consistently.

I would need a link where i can see the problem to troubleshoot.

if you take a look at the page in dreamweaver, the results table always seems to be wider than the div which contains it

attached is the page, and here is a link to it...

this page shows fine in my browser, not much can be done for the way DW displays the page in design view.

you could try editing the preferences Go to edit -> Preferences

in the invisible elements section, set the show Dynamic text as option to:
{}

In IE, FF and Chrome, the 3rd button is cut off on the original version, ( on page 1).

To highlight it better, I added 2 additional buttons, please try the link again

the problem is that your content wrapper has overflow:hidden: set so if the results table is to wide for the page, content, it will cut of.

a couple things can be done for this.

1) Edit the Heading columns.

instead of showing the headers as:
MemberID:
MemberFirstName:
MemberLastName:
MemberEmail:
MemberEmail2:
MemberVoice:

Shorten those up:
ID:
First Name:
Last Name:
Email:
Email 2:
Voice:

2) Remove unnecessary columns from the results table. Do you need to show the ID? both email addresses? these will be shown on the detail page.

Sorry, this was just a quick example and not entirely representative.

i find that, depending on the data in the table, the table width varies from page to page.

i tried setting the column widths directly, but it seems to make no difference.

what i want to do is at least have the columns of constant width.

i tried editing the table properties directly, and i also tried setting the width of the .WADAResultsTableHeader and .WADAResultsTableCell classes

you can try to set widths for the table cells, but they will expand if the data in the cell exceeds the width you set.

for example, if you try to set the width for the email column to be 20px, because the email addresses are wider, they will stretch the column.

the labels will also play a part.

your labels are all one word, so they will not wrap.
