Dynamic Menu with too many Results

Hello,

I'm having a problem creating a search page with dynamic menu function. I want to populate the menu with data in the Specialty_1 column. What I get is all results in that column. What I would like is to least each value only once and not multiple times.

How can I limit the dynamic menu to show only once occurrence for each item in the column?

I've attached the php files for review.

Thanks,

Frank

Still no attachment :-)

Look up GROUP BY or DISTINCT sql statements in Google, most likely one of these will help you filter your results

I'll check out Google, but is there anyway to do this using the data wizard or is it something that needs to be coded manually?

I've attached (hopefully this time) the php files just in case.

the wizard cannot do this for you.

you will need to update the recordset.

double click the WADADynListmembers recordset in the server behaviors panel and change the SQL:

SELECT Specialty_1, Specialty_1 FROM members ORDER BY Specialty_1

to:

SELECT Specialty_1, Specialty_1 FROM members ORDER BY Specialty_1 GROUP BY Specialty_1

or you could use:

SELECT DISTINCT Specialty_1 FROM members ORDER BY Specialty_1
