Security Assist quits Dreamweaver CS5

Security Assist quits Dreamweaver CS5

I have been using security assist for quite a while, However when trying to set up another secure area of an existing website (with different secure areas on it as well), on completing the setup, instead of creating the pages it blows up Dreamweaver.

All previous work was done in CS4.

Does anyone else have this issue?
I restarted the computer, uninstalled the extension, downloaded the latest one and re-installed it through the extension manager. All to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Theo

Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

Could not implement the solution

I found the referred document:
technote...ion_issues.pdf
previously and had tried it. The problem is I cannot find the cache file.
I have looked in all the placed hinted at, and even did full system searches for
Extension = .dat +
Filename includes = cache

No results.
I have been working around the problem but now I REALLY need to solve it.
I am dead in the water with your product for now.

Thanks for the help.

Issues resolved

This note is for those who find this string.

1. The problem came from my upgrade from CS4 to CS5 and allowing the installer to import my extensions setting. Although the Adobe installer asks - the answer should always be - No way!. As a result, the configuration folder had uglies in it.

2. Jason from WebAssit Tech support set up an online screen share session with me and was both a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable about the nuances that can cause problems.

Its tough to support a product that intimately integrates into a major developer (like Adobe's) application. They don't always cop to bugs and problems with support applications like Extension Manager and it is guys like Jason that can let you know things you will never solve on your own. Who would know that in order to make it work you need to hop three time on your left foot, spin twice to the right and bow toward the sun on Mondays and the moon the rest of the week.

My sincere thanks for good tech support from these guys!
