Corrupt WebAssist Extension Windows?

Corrupt WebAssist Extension Windows?

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but although the functionality of the extensions is fine, the way they display on screen doesn't look right making it tedious to use. As it'll be easier to show than explain, I've attached a couple of screen shots...

The problem seems to affect all WebAssist extensions on my Mac - incl. Google Maps etc.

Apart from the "missing image icons" and the fact that everything seems to be offset, my main complaint is that I can't enlarge/change the size of the extension window which makes it much more difficult to use...

I'm using OS 10.4.11 on a G5 PowerMac + Dreamweaver CS3 v9 build 3481.

Any thoughts would be really appreciated.

Cheers
Tony

This is a bug in Dreamweaver introduced in MAC after the latest quicktime update... basically small .jpg images like we were using are showing up as broken for no apparent reason... We will be updating our user interfaces to use .gif images to address this problem very shortly, but for now this is an annoying problem that some mac users will have to deal with until we get the solution out.

Bull-oney

This problem has existed for several months now. I would think that WebAssist would have been right on this to make things right.

We don't care who's fault it is. Adobe & Apple obviously are not going to bend down to help out WebAssist. You know what the problem is and you know how to fix it. Why are you leaving your customers hanging with tools that look like crap? Yes they work. But it is not a pleasure working with them.

You should have had this fixed within days rather than waiting months and pointing the finger at someone else.

Shame on WebAssist.

Also fix the tabbing on the Mac platform. Now these expensive tools act and look like cheap garbage.

We do have this fixed for most extensions, but we need to go through QA before updating our extensions and have to fix this for dozens of products. WebAssist is working hard to make and test these updates. I'm not trying to point fingers, I'm trying to explain what the problem is and where it occurs.

We are fixing the problem regardless of how it was introduced, but it can't happen overnight. Since this is a cosmetic issue for the most part, we did not feel it was appropriate to drop everything to work on getting the dot releases out.

We do understand how bad the UI's look as a result of this issue and we are working hard to update it. We are a relatively small company with limited resources, so updating our entire product line takes a couple of months. These updates should become available very soon.

Thanks Ray, I'm very glad to hear that ther's a fix coming. It's really a drag working on junky looking software.

Many thanks for your comments on this Ray. Glad to hear that you are working on a fix - any ideas when this may be available?

Also, not wanting to make matters worse, but if there is any way you can make the extension windows "scalable" (so we don't have to do so much scrolling) I for one would really appreciate it.

Cheers, Tony
