PowerCMS Builder Seems to Hang Dreamweaver CS4

PowerCMS Builder Seems to Hang Dreamweaver CS4

I've been trying to install PowerCMS builder and have been slowly making progress. I installed the Dreamweaver extension, created a CMS database on my server, created a Dreamweaver database Connection to that database and selected a section of a .php page and selected "Add CMS Content...". I was notified that files would be copied to the server (which was expected) and all seemed to go OK. However:

1) I cannot find any files on the server other than the .php connection file. I expected that the PowerCMS files would be placed in the site folder but I don't see them there. Can someone tell me where the files are placed?
2) It appeared that all went well because the content I had selected in the .php page was removed and replaced with a "CMS Content" "tag" but beneath that text is "Content Area Not Found". In addition, every time I click on any part of the page (even "white space") I get a "File Activity" message window and Dreamweaver seems to be hung for a minute or so.

I've been trying for several days to get PowerCMS installed and running and I'm up against the 15 Day Return deadline (which I don't want to do, but ...). Can someone please help with this?
