Limit insert function to a rule set

Hi,

I have a DB which contains a 'log' and 'verify' table.
Registered logged in users can search the log table for matching records.
Logged in users can select a record to verify.

My rule;

Non members (anyone) can search the logs DB and view the results output
Members must be logged in to select and verify any record EXCEPT those created by themselves and or already verified by them.

I have a unique ID as a session when a member logs in
Each log has a unique id
The verify table includes the logs unique id and the lowners unique id

Any suggestion on how to apply this rule set?

I have attempted to configure WA's rules manager to refer as a trigger in the insert page, but I'm failing to accomplish this.

I deas welcome.

Paul

This wont work using a security assist rule.

would need to create a join query to pull the log info and the related information from the verify table, and filter the verify.ownersid column Not Equal to the Users ID and use that to display the very button .
