Permissions

When are we going to get a fix for the permissions problem?
Every time I make a change to the themes or add images to a product I have to dig into the plethora of nested directories and change permissions.
Don't know if what I'm doing now is dangerous but I now do a recursive change on everything.
Probably not the right thing to do but it sure saves time.

there should be a known issue in the power store download center by the end of the day to fix the permissions issue.

Which day?

I thought it was going to be released on Friday, guess I was wrong, it should be released any day now.

Just spent the last half hour correcting permissions again.

Would It be correct to assume that this will have no effect on those permissions that are currently incorrect, because that is the case?

And to correct them should I do so recursively or…

Just tried to replace a detail image with another copy of itself and got this:
