Security

Having read about sites being hacked into via management systems such as joomla how certain are we that implementing this facility on client sites doent present a security hole due to its providing the ability to alter pages without requiring standard ftp access.

It would be helpful if information could be provided to allay the fears of clients in this area.

Also, its probably me being stupid but does the "Edit" symbol show up on the website pages when viewed normally in a browser as seems to be indicated in the promotional info

Thanks in advance

Management systems like joomla and wordpress give you access to physically changing code on the pages... which allows you to add things like php and database queries. Our cms system only allows you to edit database content. Even ftp can be hacked... that doesn't mean that hacking is impossible, but it means a lot less damage can be done. You should still implement https:// for your login pages and make sure to use obscure logins.

The Edit symbol only shows when you are logged in as an administrator.
