Unable to Activate

I am using Windows 7 x64 and develop using XAMP. I followed your instructions for setting up the testing server and adding content to the page using CMS builder, but when I get to the activation page, I get an error: ERROR: PowerCMS cannot activate without cURL installed and functional on your PHP server. Please activate cURL before attempting to proceed.

I put the library files (libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll) in the Windows/SysWOW64 folder as suggested on other sites, but to no avail.

1) With unlimited licenses, why do we need to go through the process of activation?
2) How do I get cURL working on my local server so I can validate the product?

Solved the second question

Solved my own issue. For those who have the same problem, here is the solution.

1) Go to your xamp install directory and into the php folder.
2) Open the php.ini file
3) Find the line: ";extension=php_curl.dll"
4) Change it by removing the semi-colon. It should now be: extension=php_curl.dll
5) Save the file.
6) Restart your apache server.

The first question I am still curious about. Why do we need to activate the product everytime we use it when the licensing states unlimited?

Activation prevents an unlicensed user from having unlimited activations as well... you still need to purchase a serial number and abide by the license terms even though it can be activated on any number of domains.

Hi, I need some clarification.

1) I don't undesrtand the license for CMS Builder extension? An extension for Dreamweaver means you can build unlimited sites with the mxp as described. There is no mention that you have to buy a serial number everytime you make a site with CMS Builder - the only thing mentioned is that you can use the same serial as the one you get when you buy the product to activate it.

2) If i create a template in web expression or any other html editor, then bring it into dreamweaver for final adjustments, does this mean I can't use any webassist extensions in that template.

Please advise.

1) You don't have to buy a serial everytime you make a site with cms builder... the same serial number will work on unlimited sites.

2) You can add cms to a template created in another editor from Dreamweaver
