Preview in actual site layout?

Hello,

Just wondering if there is a way to have the HTML Editor 3 window that pops up for preview place the content within its future public page layout?

the CKEditor does not offer a direct way to apply your template to the preview it generates, I tried to find some info through google, but was only able to find this post:

how-to-costumize-preview-layout-ckeditor

Looks like it is doable, but will take some familiarity with the CKEditor and writing javascript
