CMS Builder Wizard

Sorry to post this here, but I cant seem to post in the CMS Builder area.

Has anyone else tried installing this yet?

The Wizard has a few errors on it, mainly that it is asking for PowerCart Serial etc.

Also I am getting a database error and have no idea why. The details are correct and I cant find a way to start thje wizard again.

I read somewhere to delete the Connections folder, however this returns an error.

Any ideas?

Managed to restart it but I am still getting the following error

ERROR: Failed to save the settings in the database. Please verify your database connection.

I have checked and double checked, but the details are correct.

A couple of the pages in the wizard were looking for a connection file PowerStoreConnection.php so I have altered them to look for PowerCMSConnection.php but I'm still getting an error message stating that my connection settings are wrong despite being able to connect to the database in DW using the same file.

OK, I deleted the connections folder and then tried the installer again.

It Worked!!

But its a real pain, especially as the extension requires you to setup a connection before anything is uploaded!

If you use a site that has powerstore installed, since powerstore includes power cms functionality, it will try to use your existing powerstore connection and database tables. That is probably what you were running into.

It is necessary to set up a connection since it uses Dreamweaver to create the tables and insert data into the database as well as get the data to show the content at design time.

This site was new and didn't have any Webassist products using a database..

I guess that could be a bug then... please let us know if you run into it again and we can investigate it with you further.
