Universal Email Behavior Problem

Universal Email Behavior Problem

Hello,

I'm using DW CS5 on Windows 7. I've created the form on my page and have filled out the "Form Function" area to send the form contents in via email. It has created the "Universal Email 1 (email)" Server Behavior. I have chosen the "Block" template for email formatting. Next I wanted to edit the email contents and have double clicked on the UM server behavior. Instead of opening the interface, it has given me an error: "While executing timer in WAUE_Main.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:

At line 351 of file
"C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configuration\WebAssist\DocumentEncoding.js": theServerLanguage is not defined"

I've deleted and re-created the Cache file in the Configuration folder - it didn't solve the problem. I've also renamed the Configuration folder and had DW re-create it.... I've re-enabled all WebAssist extensions.... however, it didn't solve the problem.

Please advise ASAP.

Thank you so much in advance.

Best regards,

Paul.

On the Form builder Download center page, there is a download for the HTML Editor 3 Compatibility build of form builder, this issue has been corrected in the HTML Editor 3 compatibility build.

you should uninstall form builder, then download and install the Form Builder HTML Editor 3 compatibility build.

I've just written a long post here, but when I clicked "Preview Post" I got a blank white page. Something that I've had many times on the WebAssist site. When I went back a page all my text was gone.

Therefore, a short version of what I wanted to say is: I did what was suggested and am still getting this problem.

It's just done the same thing. Luckily I copied the text before clicking.

Did it again, but this time with a long pause before showing me a blank page!!

As I had guessed that you would suggest that I un-install and then re-install Form Builder, that's what I did.

I knew that I had downloaded only the Beta version of Form Builder, so I was surprised when the Extension Manager reported it to be version 2.0.0.

I uninstalled, re-downloaded, re-installed. Reported the same thing. Although I did notice that in the notes below it does say Build 23. A little confusing though.

Anyway, went back to DW and I was able to open Universal Email. Must have needed to be re-installed for some reason.

PS: this being shown a blank page thing is driving me nuts! Been Using Firefox. Now trying IE.

We are looking into the issue with Fire Fox displaying a blank page, it is an issue I encounter sometimes as well.

when it starts to happen, I have found that closing firefox completely then restarting it seems to fix the problem.
