what does the cms to do the coding?

I have not purchased PowerCMS because watching the video on it the process shows replacing whole areas of text with some php code.
Does that mean that going forward if I wanted to use dreamweaver and go into my pages on the server to make changes all I would see is that php code in place of the body of text it was setup to allow PowerCMS to edit? Am just not sure on the process.
If that is true then it is a deal breaker.

Can anyone explain that to me?

Yes, in Dreamweaver, you would not see the content on the page, only the php code.

You would use the powerCMS Admin to mange the content that is displayed on the page, not Dreamweaver.

have you seen the power cms demo site:
www.powercms-demo.com/

that might help clarify.

cms on pages

That is what I figured which means you always have to use the application to do edits unless of course they are outside the area being allowed to edit by the CMS. This also ties the site to a Database. Not that any of that is bad but it does make it hard to advertise the site as portable. Simple sites of about 10 pages should be easily portable so a client could just take all the files and move somewhere else if they wanted to. This makes it hard to do that even if the site was mostly static in nature. But I will say the ability to generate all the pages and code fast is great...saves time. I would be interested to see if it produces CSS files too or does it just create that in the head of all the pages?

Thanks

Power CMS is not intended for simple sites.

it is not intended for portability.

the CMS of Power CMS Stands for Content Management System

The use for Power CMS Is to install it on a clients site to allow them to mange the content of the site without having to use Dreamweaver.

Power CMS would be installed on a site by site basis.

You create the site without content, upload it to the server, run the install script, then start adding the content to the pages.
