CSS Menu Writer Links

Hey guys.

I hope you can help me.

I am using CSS menu writer 2 and everything is workin good.

What I want to find out is this. I have a menu with my buttons, submenus ext.

Now what I want to do is link a button, lets say Products then under Products cars.

If I make cars a dynamic link it shows all the cars in the database. What I want to do is have a link to a single results page whare different buttons can open.

To make it simpler. I have the button Cars, under that Bikes and under that Boats. I am also using dataassist to create my result and details pages. I want to have a link from Cars, Bikes and boats open on one results page, not a results page for each of the three seperatly.

Is there a way to do this and if so how. The idiee seems workable but I am struggeling to put the idiee into working order.

Thanx.

Hey Jason.

I have only standard pages created by DataAssist and a simple menu created by MenuWriter so its basically standard pages with no extra coding from my side.

As you would have created on Dreamweaver with those apps yourself.

I want to know how to go from there. These pages are also not online yet as I am testing on my local server.

Thanx

If your search page includes a category search, you could use the search page to get the URL to use for each of the categories in your menu.

What I want is for all the buttons in my navigation bar to open on one page results.php
and that page must then open the different tables depending on wich link I used.

I got it to a point where the page open three different tables at the same time but I dont know how to set my recordset to open just one table depending on wich info I want.

For this you will need to use the PHP framework extension:
?lid=websitebuilders

you will need to create a separate results page for each category, then add them to the main results page as dynamic plugins

go to the bindings panel, click the plus button and select URL variable. name the URL variable category.

when adding the dynamic plugin, use the category url variable as the trigger

you can set it to load the cars results page id the category UR variable is equal to cars:
results.php?category=cars

and the bots results page if the category equal boats:
results.php?category=boats

Is there no way to do this without having to buy a nother plugin?

My cash is a little short.

Not without extensive hand coding.
