Does Framework works with Recordset

I have created a simple recordset on page records.php. Everytime I use framework to display my records page on my index page, I get the red exclamation mark stating the the the recordset was not found. If I used DataAssis, I Get more than red exclamation with the same error message. Can you please help me how to fix this problem

the index page will try to show you the repeat region, but you will not be able to make edits to it. it is just there for display purposes to aid in design.

to make any edits to the actual record or dynamic data from a plugin page, you need to work directly on the plugin page, not the page that it has been included on.

Can php4 prevent framework from displaying a page with no errors

The reason that I am asking is that when I run the index page that contains a repeating table from page named list.php, I get the following error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/0/d351046290/htdocs/webassist/framework/framework.php on line 3

But when I run the same page on my local server the page loads with no problem. In my local server I am running php 5. On my 1and1 server the default php is 4. Now before saying yes, I am able to login to my page with security assist (even though the default server is php4). Security assist supposed to run only php5, correct?

You need to make sure that your server is using PHP5. Willing to bet it isn't. Your host should be able to tell you how to activate PHP5 on your live server. Usually using a .htaccess file.

I just read closer and you are using 1and1 ... so create a file in your root directory and call it .htaccess and in code view add:

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

Save the file and upload.

You should be good to go then.
