Digital Download Questions

I have created a DD using the tutorial, now I want to integrate it into an existing shopping cart and I am just not understanding the process.

The site sells photographs, the original Shopping Cart is set up to set physical prints of various sizes. Now I would like to have the visitors be able to download an image.

I would presume I will add a DD item to the drop down menu that has the physical product options, then the cart would reflect a product of a download.

As it is now, they customer is directed to PayPal, then sent a thank you email and the product order is emailed to the owner.

How would I direct PP to go the the download_center.php when appropriate?

Any guidance or tutorials would be great. I am reading through posts now to see if I can connect the dots.

Thank you

Gary

You could probably update the hidden form element on the confirm page and specify the download center page as the success url when a digital product exists in the order.

It would take some hand coding of the proper IF statement to pull off, but shouldn't be too difficult if you already have everything else working.

What I did with www.gaelicmusic.com was to set the cart up using PayPal Pro, requiring the user to register / log in using security assist./

This way when the checkout is complete, you can forward them onto their own specific 'downloads' page using the session variable 'userID'.
