Data Assist error on Finish

Data Assist error on Finish

I have recently reinstalled Data Assist and have gone through the tutorial to refresh my memory. However, every time I click 'Finish' at the end of the Data Assist wizard, I get an error message from Macromedia Dreamweaver saying:

"While executing onClick in WA_AppBuilder.htm, a JavaScript error occurred. <OK>"

This message comes up twice and the wizard does not close. When I click <cancel> to close the wizard, it crashes Dreamweaver.

I have uninstalled, downloaded the extension again, and reinstalled Data Assist but this recurs every time.

Using Data Assist 2.0.8 on Dreamweaver 8. I have deleted the .dat file and this made the situation worse (DW stopped responding when trying to make the Category field into a Menu item and crashed DW again).

DataAssist 2 does not support Dreamweaver 8. You can see the system requirements for DataAssist here:
system-requirements.php

It is supported on Dreamweaver CS3 and up.

Response

Jason,

Many thanks for your response. On the basis of what you said I have upgraded to Adobe CS5 and reinstalled the Data Assist 2.0.8 extension.

Trying the run-through again, this time on clicking finish it just goes straight for the crash of DW without giving any details.

Any more advice, please?

I assume you tried deleting the cache file again?

What is your OS?

Are you using a local testing server? or a remote one? I recommend using a local testing server with data assist.

what is the structure of the database, can you post the create table syntax?

Jason

Thanks for your response.

I have looked to delete the cache file again but it doesn't exist. I'm operating on Win 7 (64bit) with an intel i7 2.93GHz processor and 6GB of RAM.

I'm using a local testing server running on XAMPP with MySQL 5.

I'm using one of the eCommerce databases supplied by WebAssist,I've posted the .sql set-up file as a text document.

DAssist goes through the whole process without problem until the Finish button is pressed, at which point it crashes dreamweaver.

Regards

Glenn

I am having the exact same problem and I went through all of the steps as sales342071. What should I do now?
