Add to Cart

Okay, I added an "Add to Cart" Button and now the site won't work at all. It just shows the site as it is supposed to be without ANY of the functionality. its weird. here is the zip file for the codes that it interacts with. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!

Did it work before you hand coded the add to cart button form code?

In the add to cart code, i see that only the ID and Price columns have been bound, you have not bound the name or description column. these need to be bound as well.

recordset

Okay, the problem is some how in the codes of the recordset. If I delete the recordset codes, it starts working again. Once the record set is made, do i have to do an extra step before it starts working correctly?

display

alright, so it was the recordset, but now its the display manager. When I inserted the display quickcart it did not load the page. It just stayed on the current page and all the buttons ceased to work. I have attached the codes. Is there anything wrong with them?

to answer your question

okay, sorry, i just realized i didn't really answer your question.

Alright, before i hand wrote the extra code, I tried using the add to cart buttons normally, and they did work, however, the checkout button did not work. Now, when i use dynamic buttons or summary display carts, I can't even get to the online store page without the current page locking up on me.

problem

okay the problem has something to do with using anything dynamic, because when i use anything dynamic, the browser stays on the current page and freezes all the funtions of the buttons and everything.

i have a question

Can you recommend anybody in the 925 area that has used your system correctly that I can talk to and get some help with eCart 5? I would like to get their name, phone number and email address if possible. Thank you for your help!

In your Site Definition there is a setting called Create Links Relative To, you currently have this set to Site, this is causing include files to use the virtual() function which is not very widely supported and will cause php errors even when it is supported.

Change that setting to Document so that include files will be attached using the require_once() function instead.
