MySQL with PowerCMS

Hello,

I don't have much experience with PHP or MySQL for that matter. In regards to PowerCMS, what do I need as far as MySQL goes to use it and where do I get it? I did see something about MySQL Server 4.2 in the documentation.

I am running PHP from FastCGI on a Windows Vista Ultimate on IIS7.

Thanks
Bob

You can download and install mySQL free from: dev.mysql.com/

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Also, you need to make sure that your hosting provider includes a MySQL server for you to store your database live. This is pretty common, but worth double-checking.

When using Solutions such as PowerCMS, you don't need to get too caught up with the local testing server and local MySQL database. Ultimately, to get PowerCMS fully functional, you'll want to be configuring it on your live server. The documentation will guide you through this process.

Thanks for your help.
