I want only text as clickable hyperlink

Hello,

I'm making a horizontal CSS dropdown menu with the CSS Menu Writer 2, but stumbled upon a problem.
In my menu, I only want the text itself to be a clickable hyperlink, and not the the whole button (which has a background color). I can't find any option to do this within the CSS Menu Writer 2.
How could I solve this problem?

Css menu writer will not work like this. The button is made up of the anchor tag.

It is the anchor tag that gives the width and height to the button, css menu writer oes not have a way to make only the text clickable.
