Possible Bug When Setting the ReturnPath

Possible Bug When Setting the ReturnPath

I have been trying to resolve this issue now for a few days. I can't seem to get to the bottom of it.

In the UE (V4) Dialogue, I am trying to set the;

1) "From Name" This does not work - it will not save the setting when I press ok. Therefore when I do a test email the From Name does not show.

2) Return Path - This does not work, When I do a test and check the email, the return path is always the sender's email address. This is important as the Return Path catches bounces which are then piped to a php script. Currently then, the bounces are going to the senders email which is quite frustrating.

Anyone suffered this or got a work around?

Any help much appreciated.

are you using static or dynamic values for these settings?

can you send a copy of your page and the webassist/email folder in a zip archive so i can examine the code.

Values and Files

Hi Jason

I have attached the zip file as requested.

In fact it does matter if I use dynamic values or static values, the outcome is the same. However, The 'real' mail application I am trying to complete here is based on dyanmic values and so I have left them as they are.

In the webassist/email/waue_mailer_1.php file, I have place some comments in the first block of code at the top like this;

// Comments for WebAssist Engineer

I have also made a comment of same in the 'Additional Headers' section. I have determined that these two areas are where the problem is.

Looking forward to getting to the bottom of this as I have a client list thats waiting to be mailed.

Thank you Jason

regards
Andrew

OK, I see you also have another ticket that was started for this issue that I have elevated to our engineering team so they can investigate the problem.

As yet, I have received no reply to the ticket that was raised or the messages against the ticket. Please, can someone let me know the situation. If it is an issue that will take a while to resolve, I can just make alternative plans to finish my application.

Thank you
Andrew
