File Activity - Lock Up

This has been going on for a few days now...I've tried both reinstalling WADA as well as DWCS5, to no avail.

In trying to create the back end administrative pages for this one table (problems with WADA have been happening throughout this entire site, although the File Activity crashing has only been today) I get to various points throughout the process and it locks up and crashes. A small File Activity window opens (with "localhost" notification as well) and at that point, I know I'm done for. Everything freezes and I have to do a hard shut down on DW.

I saw another thread about this from September 2010, but his solution was to move his testing server locally instead of remote. My testing server is already local.

Any ideas? This has been really frustrating trying to get through creation of these administrative pages.

PS - this is attempt #3 to post this, once in the previous thread, and twice as a new thread -- all times, after "submitting new thread" I am routed to a new, blank page ... when trying to view the post, I get nothing. No idea what's going on.

PSS - I can't even get beyond the 1st screen now (where you designate the tables, templates, file names, etc.) without the "File Activity - localhost" window popping up -- anyone?

Update:

I replaced the library file (as mentioned in the sticky at the top of these forums, for the 2.0.8 release) and was able to get through the wizard to create a set of admin pages.
