Primary Key between PS4 & PayPal Data Dump

Primary Key between PS4 & PayPal Data Dump

Hi-

I want to create a data center for our business, and I need to correlate the data kept by PS4 with data kept on the PayPal side.

Problem: there is no Primary Key in common. There are some "pretty good" keys, like a combo of the date, name & amount, but nothing sure-fire unique in both datasets.

Is there a way to pass an absolutely unique field from PP to PS4 (or even vice-versa) to handle this outness?

Ideally, the PP transaction ID becomes a field in the PS4 order table.

Another solution would be passing the ps4_orders.OrderID to a customizable field in the PP dataset.

Needless to say, this is very desirable. Please advise, PP API guys!

If you own eCart, you can modify the Store order summary behavior on the confirm page to capture the transaction ID and store it in the orders table...

you would need to first add the column to the orders table, the add the binding for the paypal response to the binding table, exactly how to do this depends on what type of paypal transaction you are using: PayPal Direct payments or Paypal standard.

Then you would modify the store order summary to capture the transaction id.
