Noticed a problem with the "sale" function

Thread began 1/06/2011 2:13 pm by kim420431 | Last modified 1/06/2011 2:40 pm by kim420431 | 715 views | 2 replies |

Noticed a problem with the "sale" function

I have a product (only one at this point) that I have set up with options. Basically a print with 3 size options and 3 coating options. Each one has a different price point. The range of prices lists properly on the product, but for some reason the product list page where PowerStore lists all the product for a category is showing a $45.00 - $130.00
Retail Price: $130.00 (Save $50.00). There is no sale on any of these products. I made sure to go to the extended details page and set the retail price correctly for each "version" of the product so it matches the price adjustment based on which options are selected. The only thing I can think is it's working off the highest list price and subtracting off the initial list price that PowerStore forces you to enter before adding options and thinks that I'm offering a sale when I'm actually not. How do I correct that? It's misleading and infers that I'm offering a "deal" when in fact I'm not!

Leave the retail price field blank for all of the items and it will not show.

It does appear to be a bug of some sort, but that is an easy enough solution in your case.

The save message is based on the retail price, so if you don't want it to show you can not specify the retail prices and it should correct the problem for you.

I'll have someone in our QA try to reproduce it and try to get the bug fixed in an upcoming release.

Thanks Ray! I'm feeling better about this support channel. Seems like you guys are on top of things and pay pretty close attention to what's going on here! I'm new to PowerStore as of this week and still evaluating and was a bit stressed about your support policy but I'm feeling better about how responsive you've been!

Thanks again!
