Creating a Preview

Hi, I saw this website (calendarmakers.co.uk/) in your customer showcase, and they have an option to upload a picture, add text and see a preview of their calendar product. We would like to use this idea for something on our site. Can we make something like that using the developer suite and PS3?

"Can I make" questions are difficult to answer... Unfortunately since you are asking, the answer is probably "no, because you don't know how to".

I'm not sure how much powerstore would help, since what you are talking about is pretty custom. Someone that was familiar with the tools and technology could clearly build it (since the example shows someone did).

Specialized product workflows like that though take a custom work, so you'd have to be able to do it from scratch before you could do it in powerstore.

You could use Digital File Pro to upload a file, store the location as a session variable, and then display that uploaded file in context using Digital File Pro and eCart server behaviors. Putting it all together would take careful planning and execution.

That's what I was guessing. I saw that they were using flash and I didn't think you guys had any tools like that but I thought I would make sure. We'll be looking for a programmer sounds like. Thanks for the help

You could achieve something similar using jQuery's (or your JS library of choice) AJAX capabilities and storing the choices made along the way in a Session or Cookie before inserting into the Database or eCart object.
