modify css

Thread began 12/21/2010 10:32 am by segalmedia367166 | Last modified 12/21/2010 5:00 pm by Ray Borduin | 1495 views | 4 replies |

modify css

What's the preferred method of modifying my site? I am not going to alter dimensions, but I want to add my own artwork, change background colors on navigation and modify font colors. I am pretty comfortable with css. I am pretty certain that I won't break anything in the layout (or know how to fix if I do).

Logically, I think that modifying the webassist file would work.

Thanks,

Lisa

Follow the steps I outlined in:

showthread.php?t=16199&highlight=supported

Basically you create a new theme and then edit that theme. The files and css are straightforward enough once you know where to look.

Thanks Ray,

I did create a new theme, found the files, now I will explore your solution.

Thanks again,

configurable.css or default_styles.css

Which css file do I modify to ensure that that my style still works with the admin styler and still affects my pages?

Thanks

the styles in the configurable.css file are what the styler uses. You would have to use these same style names to have them configured in the styler.
