Order email not received

I have a working site running PS3 and everything has bee operating correctly until to today where I noticed an order notification didn't get emailed to me but the order did show in the admin history. There were orders before it that worked fine. When I looked in to the issue I saw that the customers name contained numbers as in "John Doe the third" but rather the customer used "111". Could this have been the culprit and if so what would be the workaround to allow orders where the customer uses a number to come through?

Thanks

What are you using as your checkout provider? It doesn't seem like that would cause an issue, but I'll try running a test to confirm that.... so they added numbers in the last name field?

It seems unlikely that it would cause an issue, but let me know your checkout provider and we can create a more accurate test to try to reproduce the problem. That detail may be insignificant, so we may need to look into what else might be the problem. I am not familiar with this issue.

If you have the most recent version of form builder or universal email you could add an email logging action to keep track of failed emails and reasons so you could keep track of any failed emails and the reason they fail.

Either way we will have to be able to reproduce the problem in order to debug a possible solution and confirm it is working, so as many details as possible could expedite that process. If you can reproduce it and we can't then we will have to call and debug it with you directly.

The numbers are used in the first name field.

The PS3 system has been modified to use first data local checkout.

Also to reiterate the order is being stored in the history so that tells me its passing through the gateway at least.

I do have universal email, can you give me a pointer on how to add this?

Do you have a success redirect specified in your first data local checkout code? It could be redirecting before it has a chance to send the email.
