Need help refining text/boxes

Hi there,

Here's a link to my site:
index7.html

I need help in two ways:

1. How do I refine the type so that the it's

a. not too high up on the main menu bar

b. not too low for double lines that are text wrapped

2. Also, I want the submenus to sit closer to the main menu items. There's a weird gap there now, if I try to get rid of it by removing padding, my type gets weird.

I'm really close on this and if I can just get these couple of fixes made, then I can finish putting together the site.

Thank you!

Jennifer

I see you have 6 menu write menu.css files linked in... you should clean up your head to only include one copy of that file. Then update the css in that file manually to correct the problems:

1) menu.css line 46, update padding to:
padding: 5px 0;

then
menu.css line 42, add:
height:27px;

then
menu.css line 113 remove:
height: 18px;

2) menu.css, add to the style:
margin-top: -1px;

Thanks! I did think there were too many files.

I appreciate the very specific instructions.

Still need help with a couple of more things please

index7.html

Thanks for your help from before. Here is my revised site (above).

1. border sits outside of colored box in levels 1 and 2 - how do I bring it in to butt up against the boxes?

2. Level two boxes are too tall for single lines and type only centers for the text wrapped double lines. Can you help me fix it? Level one looks good, I want to replicate that.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by #1... maybe update menu.css line 194 and update the padding to:

padding: 0 0 0 12px;

2) update menu.css line 207 and remove the height attribute.

explanation

Hi, what I mean with no. 1:

If you look at the border, you can see that it is a little bigger than the box it's supposed to be bordering. I can see a little sliver of the image underneath it and I want the border to be right up against the color text box. Can you help?

Thanks!

maybe change menu.css line 101 add:
margin-top: -1px;

still not working

Hi, I will fiddle with it. If you have any brilliant ideas of how to get border and box to line up, please let me know.

Thanks,

Jennifer
