Update Image Simply Query?

Hi
I have an update page that updates both text and an image field.

This all seems to work OK except when I don't upload an image in which case the image field is set to blank losing the valid details that were in there.

I can't figure out how to ignore updating this field if an image has not been browsed.

Any pointers appreciated
Thanks
Clive

What are you using to upload your image ? Digital File Pro or something else ?

Can you post the page in question, it may be as simple as changing an isset check to an empty check.

Just set the "default value" in the server behavior to be the current value in the database and then the value won't change when it is left blank since it will use the default.

My page is doing the same thing. I set the default value, but it's still deleting the image name from my database if I don't upload an image.

I have attached a file with the pertinent information to see if anything sticks out at you guys. Dreamweaver CS5 and Universal Email 4.0.1

Thanks in advance,

It appears there is no recordset on the page... maybe it was deleted?

you are using a recordset value for the default image, most likely the recordset does not have any rows in it when the form is posted.

create a hidden form element, set the hidden form element to use the recordset column for it's value, thenn bind the default image to the hidden form element.

I have recordsets on the page, I just didn't put them in the file. I thought you guys would be able to tell from your code and the form and you did. The hidden field was it. I totally forgot to use it. I knew I was missing something, but couldn't find the solution recipes. I finally found the one I was looking for and it's working great now.

Thanks again for the replies.
