Content Custom Menu Gone

Content Custom Menu Gone

I was working on the custom menu area, changing "support" to "forms" and adding new links, when the menu on the left that shows the custom items disappeared. Even though the pages show up on the site, there's no way to edit them through the CMS now. How can I get the paged re-linked with it?

Also, I'd like to separate Contact and About as each it's own main link. Can't figure that out either.

what changes did you make to the custom menu area?

where you editing the PHP code?

In which file?

can you send a copy of that file so I can what the code is?

I broke it through the CMS, not going into the code. I was experimenting with adding links, and then I accidentally deleted the "content" area on the main header. I added it back in, and then lost everything. What page should I send you to look at?

you cant really add the content menu back after you delete it, the best bet would be to drop the content table and recreate it from the install script to get back tp square one.

go to the database and run the SQL Command in the attached text file

If I look at the table, I still see the custom menu and custom pages rows. There's no way to fix it, rather than running that script? And I don't know what to do to run that script. Can you explain step by step what I should do? Can I use Navicat? I've attached an image of the table so you can see the columns.

What I deleted was just the content area where you can type in whatever content you want, not the whole top row navigation. And as I said, the buttons are still there on the site too.

yes, use navicat to run that script.

you say that you tried recreating the content area, that would be the only other fix, but you say doing that broke it. that leaves you with recreating the content table to a clean state using the script i provided.

I'm afraid I'm going to delete everything, and also that I'm not being clear. I've attached a screen shot of the content page. Do you see how the custom pages are gone?

yes, i do. you are not going to be able to get them back without running the script i provided.
