Error with usps on checkout

I have been searching around the forums for some time and cant seem to get this figured out....

i used the testing phpp to generate this response from the checkout_failure.php page... I am using paypal pro and usps.

USPS:
Full Request: API=RateV3&XML=<RateV3Request uid="413DEAFB5601"><Package ID="0"><Service>PRIORITY</Service><ZipOrigination>10022</ZipOrigination><ZipDestination>20008</ZipDestination><Pounds>10</Pounds><Ounces>5</Ounces><Container>Flat Rate Box</Container><Size>REGULAR</Size></Package></RateV3Request>
Full Response: <Error> <Number>80040b19</Number> <Description>XML Syntax Error: Error getting USERID attribute.</Description> <Source>UspsCom::DoAuth</Source> </Error>

I used the username i got in the email from usps to be used for testing and the server i have set to ShippingAPITest.dll

i cant figure out why its throwing this userid error... any ideas?

what version of PowerStore?

the xml should pass the user id parameter as:
USERID

your code is passing it as
uid

I just checked in the WA_eCart/WA_eCart_USPS_PHP.php file for both PS3 and PS4 and it is properly coded to pass the user id as USERID

i just checked the db file and its supposed to be UserID i will change it back, dont know why i changed it originally, i should of known better....

this site is a compalation of web assist, vidiscript, my own custom coding and eventually v bulletin. they all have their own db's and it is one big unorganized mess to coordinate them together and at least look uniform on the outside....

its a project but pretty good for my first site....

anyways.... back to the work!

I dont remember why i cheanged it to uid... prolly bc of my other db but there had to be more of a reason, thats a big change

i had done a search and realized i changed all the UserID to uid so i just tried to mod the ecart_USPS_PHP.php page to say

$USPS_XML = "<" . $USPS_RateType . " USERID=\"" . $USPS_Parameters["UserID"] . "\">";

i'm assumin usps requires it to be passed in the format of USERID= so i just changed that line to do so....

And SUCCESS, i was able to bypass the userid error!!! now i have one about

RateV3 is not a valid API name for this protocol.

did some research and discovered i must upgrade my acct to production... will do tomorrow when tech is open....
