How to Connect to MySQL

How to Connect to MySQL

Just installed SecurityAssist.
Because I have no experience with PHP, mySQL or Coldfusion this is where I figured I would get lost.
Once I get past connecting to a database I think I will be OK. Here is where I am at this point:
On cPanel at my remote Host ( I created a mySQL database.
Where I get lost in SecurityAssist is trying to answer the 1st 4 questions in the SA Wizard.
1-Server Model - Should I be selecting one of the ASP, Coldfusion or PHP Doc Types?
2-Connection - Would this be a path of some sort to my server?
3-Table - Will this be on a drop down list once I am able to connect to the database?
4-Key Column - Will this be on a dropdown list once I connect?

Any help would be appreciated.

for dynamic development, it is best to have a local testing server rather than connect to the remote MySQL server.

see the learning resources page:

there are tutorial there for setting up a testing server, setting up a Dreamweaver site for dynamic development and creating the database connection that should address your questions.
