Progress Bar overrides spry validation

Progress Bar overrides spry validation

I have a progress bar attached to a form which sends an email using universal email when submitted.
But before it is submitted I have Spry validation on the form, so if you don't fill in all the required fields it should display the errors (which it does), but the progress bar comes up over the top so you can't go back to edit the fields you missed..
Is there a way to make them work together, so that the progress bar doesn't come up until the form has been validated?
I'm using dreamweaver cs4 spry validation.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue on my end. Can you please attach a zip that contains the page with spry and the webassist folder so i can debug the issue on my end.

Thanks.

OK, i've attached the necessary files for you..

If you click on "submit" without typing anything in the input fields it will bring up the validation messages, and the progress bar, but the progress bar blocks you from selecting the input fields again.

I tested on Chrome, IE8, Firefox, Opera, & Safari on windows, and the problem exists on all browsers except for IE..

Thanks.

I think the issue is that you did not select the form when you applied the progress bar.

Try changing this line of code:

WADFP_SetProgressToForm('submissions_ProgressWrapper', 'submissions_ProgressMessageWrapper', WADFP_Theme_Options['ExtendingWheel:Slate']);

to

WADFP_SetProgressToForm('submissions', 'submissions_ProgressMessageWrapper', WADFP_Theme_Options['ExtendingWheel:Slate']);

the first argument needs to be the form ID.

let me know if you have any further questions.

Now the progress bar isn't working at all.. From memory, when i first setup this particular progress bar it didn't work and someone here told me to change that line of code to:

WADFP_SetProgressToForm('submissions_ProgressWrapp er', 'submissions_ProgressMessageWrapper', WADFP_Theme_Options['ExtendingWheel:Slate']);

I just tested and saw the progress bar... perhaps you have fixed the problem or your file upload was so quick the progress bar didn't have time to show?

Please upload the original file that shows the progress bar when the validation fails. In all my tests it seems to work, and it appears there is code in the progress bar that should account for spry errors and not show.
