Need help making an AddToCart popup work

Need help making an AddToCart popup work

I have made the eCart AddToCart page into a popup, which works fine. But once they click on AddToCart, I want the pop-up to close and the next page to open in the parent window. This is fairly straightforward when you are building pop-ups from scratch (using window.opener javascript code) but I'm not sure how to make it happen with eCart. Any suggestions?

as long as the parent window opens a php page, you just need to add the add to cart button to it and set it to redirct to the cart page after the item is added to the cart. nothing special will need to be done.

Guess I didn't describe my problem clearly because that didn't answer my question.

My Add to Cart button is not in the parent window but in the pop-up. The page I want to go to -- the Orders page -- is already open in the parent window, and what I want to do when the Add to Cart button is clicked is close the Add to Cart pop-up and return the focus to the parent window with the Orders page. But instead, the pop-up tries to open the Orders page in the pop-up window.

I tried using an onclick=window.close() on the Add to Cart button but eCart doesn't consistently add the selected item to the cart when the onclick tag is present.

Problem solved! I changed the "go to" file for the Add to Cart button to a file that closes the pop-up window. That way eCart has enough time to record the transaction before the pop-up closes.

Thanks for your help.
