Success Message?

I have a simple contact form that sends the contents via email.

What's the best way to add some sort of on screen message stating that an email has been successfully sent?

depends on what happens when you click the send button.

my contact form validation checks for the form being posted, then checks everything has been filled in correctly.

if everything validates and the mail is sent, i have a variable flag which is set to true, then just a php 'if' block which displays a message if the flag is set to true.

Daryl,

You could also open the Universal Email server behavior and choose a "go to" page... so that when it sends, it then redirects to a "success" page where you can then add text confirming the sent email.

For example, my form may be on contact.php. Then I create a success page like emailsent.php and then have UE redirect to that page after sending.

Warmest regards,

Brian

This is what I am looking for on Form Builder 2.0

I don't see this option anywhere...I recall on Form Builder 1/UE it was built in, but I can't seem to figure out how to list the success/failure page with Form Builder 2.0...any thoughts?
Many thanks!

edit the Universal Email server behavior after the form is created to set the go to page.

Many thanks, could you tell me where that is/how I get to the universal email server behavior?

go to Window -> Server Behaviors to open the server behaviors list.

in the list of server behaviors, double click the Universal Email server behavior to edit it.

Did what you said, but still no success page?

I edited the Universal Email's server behavior and changed the "go to" page to success.php....I then saved everything then reuploaded the entire site...after clearing my browser's cache I tried the form again, but it still doesn't go to the success page...any thoughts on why?
the form is on contact.php
