I am surprised that eCart doesn't have a search function? This is standard in almost all other carts?

Brad,

eCart is purely the cart object which leaves you free to create as much or as little functionality as you need on top of that. This is one of the things I love about eCart in that you are not tied into a particular way of doing things.

like Dave says, eCart is purely the shopping cart porting of a store.

It can be used in a static or dynamic setting.

if you are creating a dynamic store, you can use DataAssist to create the search results and product detail pages.
