Installation Issues - 2.10

I started with CMS 2.01 and got everything set up including the database. When I got to the login page, it went nowhere, just a clink that the button had been pushed. I checked the db and found the username and password was correct, but no luck on any browser.

I removed everything from the server, except the db, and then installed the latest version, 2.10. When I get to the set up screen, I get the following errors:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/var/php_sessions/sess_2ad768ab321ed1778de311e75eb7be7f, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in /hermes/bosweb/web174/b1740/ipw.zontadis/public_html/CMS/install_cms/global.php on line 6

Not sure where to go from here, but would appreciate a quick solution as the client is waiting. I'm on CS5, Windows 7. I've got on error logging and issue can be seen at CMS

Thanks in advance.

the error means that the servers session management is not configured correctly.

you will need to contact the host to have them fix the issues with the session management settings.

What exactly is the issue with the session management so I can hopefully converse semi-intelligently with the hosting service (which is ipower.com)?

Is there something specific I should ask them to resolve?

Thanks for the quick response!

they should be able to look at the error and have an idea of the problem.

Usually, it is an issue with the session.save_path in the php.ini file, but i cannot say for certain.
