Recordset Problems

I am having trouble Automatically populating form fields on my checkout page.

I have set up a database that stores everyting and all the pages exct. When I do get the page to display info it is normally only the first table/coloumn in my database no matter what username or password I enter. On my register page the info is enterd corectly into the database but it doesnt get entered into the form.

I have tried everything but I just dont know what else to do.

you are using the Dreamweaver authenticate user behavior which works differently than the security Assist authenticate user behavior.

the Dreamweaver Authenticate user behavior is creating a session variable named MM_Username, this session variable stores the value from the tb_name column.

on the cehckout page, set the rsUsers recordset tp filter the tb_name column on the MM_Username session variable.

"on the cehckout page, set the rsUsers recordset tp filter the tb_name column on the MM_Username session variable"

How do I go towork on doing that? I know a little about recordsets but the "filter the tb_name column on the MM_Username session variable" has me confused.

Plus, the data is already in the database after the user registers, isn't there a way to pull the data then just from the database or are what you talking about just that?

Sorry for all the questions but I have no clue where else to go look for info.

Set up the filtering section of the recordset as:
'tb_name' '='
'Session variable' 'MM_Username'

this will return the record for the logged in user.

You are a true genius mr Byrnes. It works perfectly now.

A nother question I have about login pages. On the Webassist site, when I log in, my username is loged in for the whole time I am online. How do I set up my site to do the same so that my users can log in and shop exct without having to log in numerous times?

session timeout is controlled by the server settings, see the following post from webmaster world for details:
12812.htm

the checkout form on the checkout page should be set to post to the confirm page.
