email updated fields

hi,

need some help, i want to use ue with one of the templates however i dont want every field sent when updated.

what i mean is i have on a site a timeline of events and once each one has been done it emails the users to say it has been updated and shows the results from the database by ue.

however we need to be able to highlight what specifically was updated in the email, so if it was only one piece of information from that table that changed it would highlight it in bold that that changed so the user did not have to go through the whole email and see what was done?

how would this be done? i am guessing it would be each field maybe stored in a session but have no idea where to start with this. any help appreciated.

many thanks

This will require hand coding and is not supported.

you would need to store the original database values in session variables, then when the page is submitted, compare the original values to the submitted values. Oif they do not match, then highlight them.
