a question

hi,

will the date format automatically correct it to the yyyy-mm-dd to insert into the mysql database with data assist insert record if you have the screen format as dd-mm-yyyy?
i ask this because when i subscribed in the past to the membership i had problem with css form builder and data assist. there is a thread on this in the css form builder where i could not get it to display along with another user the uk format but insert into database as yyyy-mm-dd it was never resolved. i then used jquery manually and used a copy to hidden field in the javascript which meant that they could select the data and inserted fine however if they typed over it, it would insert null into database so want to be sure this has been resolved with this toolkit.

thanks

Hi,

If you want a really easy way to reformat dates(and time) I would get the free plugin by FLEXITONE called "PHP DateTime Formats". You should find it on the adobe DW site.
You use it by selecting the the date field, box etc etc then in the bindings tab on the right hand side when you click on the format section the plugin is listed, then select how you want it to be from the list. it throws the right php format code in and away you go. It is indispensable !

Regards
Russ
