Ouch to the pricing!

Ouch to the pricing!

$100 (sure, on sale for $75, but standard price is $100). This is an insult guys to those of us that already own 2/3rds of this extension.

1: Captcha already comes with Form Builder, but to have it as a WIDGET we need this extension as well? So basically - I am buying Captcha twice.

2: Form Validation is already included with another extension (I believe UE, but not positive) so in my case - I don't need that. Again - buying twice.

3: Calendar - Would love this, but I'm not paying $100 (or even $75) for it.

SURE - If users don't have the other products and want form security and a calendar picker this is a fair price, but you should be offering an upgrade path to those of us that already own 2/3rds of the products!

There is an upgrade option - there always is for new extensions for existing customers. It's available for $49.99. I'm just trying to decide whether it's worth me getting this extension and using it instead of Form Builder? I don't like the amount of HTML that Form Builder generates and I've found it to be full of bugs.

Upgrade from what? It doesn't show in my upgrades and I own most of the extensions.

People seem to be assessing the worthiness of the cost of this extension based on what they have already paid out for other extensions, some of which might contain some of the functionality of the Forms Toolkit. That value is going to be subjective to each member.

What I see is a collection of form utilities that has been repeatedly asked for in the forum (datepicker, captcha, validations without bloated form code) in a useful package.

I don't use FB (because of the code) but build my own forms to fit my designs, so this extension would be one of the first I would buy if I were starting out from scratch. I bought it anyway because it is a great (and lean) tool and It means I can finally ditch 'Forms 2 Go' and keep evrything WA.

A lot of people have just got what they have been asking for. Whatever cash you may have laid out prior to this release is incidental in this respect.

I'd contact customer support than Brad, as it is showing up in my upgrades, as every other new extension that I haven't bought does. Did you purchase Super Suite or did you buy extensions separately? I got Super Suite, so the upgrades may be just for people who purchased that?

I don't work at WebAssist and am in no way affiliated with them. I just wanted to pass on my experience to you.

I already own everything on this (Validation toolkit, CSS Form Builder) yet am not getting any upgrade discount showing. I musr admit much as I love WA extensions it does seem a bit stiff - especially as I only bought the CSS Form Builder for Captcha and datepicker functions.

I think the upgrades are available to super suite owners only, but I may be wrong.

Not showing as an upgrade to me either.

Neilo: I will agree this is a great little package for those that don't already own the extensions that are included! I am only saying that since I already own everything other than "Date Picker" - this is not a very attractive price.

I just checked my account again, and no - like others, I don't have it available as an upgrade. I did not buy "super suite" but why should that matter. I own the other products that contain the extensions.

I'll try a call to WA to see what they can offer!

Hi coda,

That would be the best thing to do, I believe. I'm sure that WA wouldn't want to penalise anyone who has already spent hard cash on various constituent extensions just because they weren't bought as part of a suite.

I hope you get a good result, and that perhaps the criterion for 'upgrades' can be clarified by someone from sales.

Hope all goes well!
