PS4 Article 3 Add-On

Hello,

I created a new article 3 for the front page area, but the 3rd "pod" or area is not showing up on the home page after I created it.

I am not sure if the defined area's height for all the articles is set to auto or fixed and that is why it will not show up.

I have deleted the article 3 pod for now but if you see my site, luxehats.com, i am using the default layout.

Any suggestion as to what I my be doing wrong or need to correct.

the news pod will only show the 2 most recent articles.

you can change by editing the webassist/plugins/cms_templates/news.php file. change:
$newsArticles = 2;

to:
$newsArticles = 3;

or more.

Since the new PS4 allows you to add a page in the content admin section under news(5), should it add it for you ?

Just wondering why there is optoin to add a page but it doesnt show up ?

Thanks for you help.

the news pod shows the 2 most recent entries by default.

If you want it to show more articles, you will need to make the change I suggested in my first reply.

Works Great

Hello Jason, adding the new article works great and I figured out how to adjust the character length up from the 190 default.

Question for you and I apologize for the easy question. How do I put a space between to paragraphs. see my example below. Just hitting the return key only puts in another paragraph. I want to put space between the paragraphs.

<p>We invite you to receive email communications from Luxehats.com, and be the first to know about our collections, LuxeSuperModel events, giveaways, and discounts.</p><p>Open this page to read the latest Luxehasts Newsletter and be sure to join our mailing list for direct emails.</p>

you would nee to add the space between the paragraphs manually. it will not add a space for you automatically.

Sorry, let me try and explain a little better.

this code:

<p>We invite you to receive email communications from Luxehats.com, and be the first to know about our collections, LuxeSuperModel events, giveaways, and discounts.</p><p>Open this page to read the latest Luxehasts Newsletter and be sure to join our mailing list for direct emails.</p>

Generates this visual output:

"We invite you to receive email communications from Luxehats.com, and be the first to know about our collections, LuxeSuperModel events, giveaways, and discounts. Open this page to read the latest Luxehasts Newsletter and be sure to join our mailing list for direct emails."

I woud like to see this:

"We invite you to receive email communications from Luxehats.com, and be the first to know about our collections, LuxeSuperModel events, giveaways, and discounts.

Open this page to read the latest Luxehasts Newsletter and be sure to join our mailing list for direct emails."

however, simple hitting the enter key to seperate the paragraphs does nothing to seperate the 2 paragraphs when in the admin design. what is the code to seperate the two paragraphs ?

Hi KiddaMan,

The editor doesn't seem to have put the extra <p></p> in that paragraph on your page.

You could try entering them in source view (in the editor). Atlernatively you could try adding <br> (or <br><br>)
