Is there any way to design one page for different database depending on the user login the database will display.
Is there any way to design one page for different database depending on the user login the database will display.
Yes. You will create two login rules, one for each of the databases. And based on those rules you can show/hide regions using Security Assist.
Can you explain me how to do it? How about deriving the table name from session variable and making a dummy recordset depending on the user login the table will be selected.
Are you planning on using two different databases or is it the same database but just different tables?
It's one database with different tables.
I Have One Table for User Name and up to 20 tables for different category and the category tables will be increasing day by day that's why I need to make Table name as variable.
Yes, you can make the table name as a variable by storing in a session. However, you will then have to edit the record set manually to use the the session instead of the table name.
let me know if you need help with that.
I have attached a page that demonstrate an example of hot to do that.
Keep in mind that we are breaking the Dreamweaver Server Behavior, so you can't use the bindings panels to drag columns from the record set.
