Show only records dates before Todays date

Hi

I know this is not a problem but if any one has the answer to this id be most grateful.

I just like to show records before todays date.

I can make sure the date is formatted in the table field but not sure how to then go about writing the recordset to achieve my goal.

Any help at all is very welcome indeed.

Iv got a small problem with my dates i think.

there are stored in a column as named 'DateCourseDate' as DD/MM/YYYY do i have to do anything special to make

This is the recordset function

SELECT *
FROM course_dates
WHERE DateCourseLocation = colname AND course_dates.MP_DP = 'DP'
ORDER BY CourseId ASC

Should it be

SELECT *
FROM course_dates
WHERE DateCourseLocation = colname AND course_dates.MP_DP = 'DP' AND course_dates.DateCourseDate <= 'NOW ( )'
ORDER BY CourseId ASC

Sorry to be a pain but I'm a little lost any help is very welcome

What column type is the DateCourseDate field? Column types are important when writing queries... If the column is correctly defined as a date field the query would not include quotes, so it would be: AND course_dates.DateCourseDate <= NOW()
