Logo - can not change - Errors

I'm trying to change the Logo in admin. The logo broswe button bring up a screen saying "loading" and when it say 100% there is nothing there. I'm running IE 8 but have tried in firefox and get the same behavior.

The little yellow icon in the lower left corner, when clicked and expanded shows the following:

ADDITIONAL INFO
When saving the theme the colors and fonts do not save. they go back to the defaults. Although a do get a new theme.

try replacing the webassist/themes/default folder with a fresh copy from the power store download.

I started over. deletted everything including the database. I loaded the zipped file to the sever and unzipped it in the server. ran the i installation and all works except design -- saving a theme. the new theme is ther but I'm getting the following error and no details are saved:

500 Internal Server Error
The request was not completed. The server met an unexpected condition.

174.122.114.250/~rmi25/PowerStore%20Files/webassist/plugins/styler/unload.php (port 80)

I tried setting all the permision along the path to 777 but that did not fix it.

I found the error reporting code in another post and added it to unload.php .

Ran thru the save theme in ie8, latest firefox and latest chrome. All gave me the same error with no additional info.
