Little bug

Little bug

When creating an email file with UE, the page has this charset:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

Problem is, that special characters used in international sites like "Ö" are displayed as "&#65533;".

The page created should have this charset:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />

I would like to express here, that I couldn't be happier with choosing WebAssist and my Supersuite (former Library subscriber). The extent of support is amazing. As a complete novice (maybe not anymore), I was able to build a functioning professional online shop. Thanks.

to change the character set that is used by the email, go to the mail server settings tab, there is a dropdown list of character sets to choose from here.

This selection will override the meta tag character set of the email template file.

Yep, that would work. I would not have known what to pick though, if I hadn't run into this problem with CSS sculptor quite a while ago.

For multi-lingual pages (German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and possible more soon) what would be the best charset to choose?

there is no one all encompassing character set.

different languages require different character sets to be used.

OK, then I get, why the one I am using isn't preselected. Thanks.
