Files do not download in PS4

Files do not download in PS4

I am testing PS4 and trying to download product, but when I click the download button, the page blinks, but nothing happens after that.
I have the digital downloads folder outside of my store a couple levels out and I have checked permissions to be set at 755 as well.
I have tested with files in the digital downloads standard location inside the store as well, but same reaction.
All my products I have set the button to make them downloadable.

I hope someone can shed light on this as I have a meeting with the client this afternoon.

Thank you in advance.

not sure why it wont download, can you right click on the view_download page in the browser and go to View Source and send us the browser for the page to have a look.

I see the file name being downloaded contains special characters:
End Harvey's vision through Robbie playing guitar_1.mp3

the apostrophe in this cases may be causing the issue.

can you try with a file name that does not contain any special characters:

special characters

Hi Jason, I have deleted all special characters and added underscores to the file names.
I, also, deleted all orders that I tested before (testing mode at this time by clicking on the test mode check box) and created a new order, but the result is the same.

I, also, have changed the permissions on the digital files to 755.
I do not get any errors or feedback, except that the page blinks and does not do anything afterward.

I am including the new source file for the view downloads page.

Thank you for your help.

File downloads does not work in PS4

Hi Jason

I have the same problem as the member "rgodinez349368".
Pls find hereinafter the browser window source view_downloads.php.
The file to download does not have any special characters and it does not download.
The status bar shows activity and displays "transferring from" + site_name, but that's all.
It doesn't open the Firefox download window nor the Free Download Manager one.
It simply refreshes the view_download window in Firefox. That's all.
Maybe there is another issue but I can't see which one.

digital files not downloading, please help

Hi Jason, I had a meeting with my customer last Thursday expecting delivery, but I need this feature to work, as his sole purpose is to sell down loadable products.
I triple checked my settings and permissions, have seen the tutorial videos for reference as well and cannot pinpoint the source of the problem. I suspect something simple as is in most cases, but I am too close to the problem to see it.
Please help, this is a drop dead week to go live on this project.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Jason,

May I be associated to the ticket you just opened for rgodinez, as I do experience exactly the same issue. So it would be nice to get the result from the tech support as well as rgodinez gets them. OR DO I HAVE TO ISSUE A SEPARATE TICKET FOR THE SAME ISSUE ??

Best regards

Dan

in troubleshooting this for rgodinez, i fixed the issue by commenting the following line in the WA_DigitalFilePro/helper_PHP.php file:

php:
$folderPath = rootRelativeToFullFileURL($folderPath);

find that line and change it to:

php:
//$folderPath = rootRelativeToFullFileURL($folderPath);
